If you go into any gym or fitness center today you’ll soon realize that the days of the basic treadmill are long gone. Today, we have treadmills that have televisions put in them, underwater distance tracking, and even treadmills that calculate how far and how long you’ve been swimming.

One of the more high end but still user friendly treadmill on the market is the Precor 9.31 with a 15 inch display and heart beat monitor. This treadmill is targeted for the people that get bored easily in the gym and would like some form of entertainment. This treadmill includes

  • 15 inch television display
  • Accurate tracking of calories burned, distance walked, and time walked.
  • Incline that goes to 15 degrees.
  • Heart rate handles that will calculate your heartbeat.

This treadmill is the perfect tool to allow the user to get a safe and effective workout with the enjoyment of watching television. All the other treadmills located in the gym are somewhat of a spin off to the treadmill with television display. They may add a few extras here and there, but the television display treadmill is perfect for any user.

The other treadmill we’ll talk about today isn’t a treadmill in the fashion most are accustom to. The Swim Current Generator is an underwater treadmill designed for swimmers and people trying to improve their swimming. This treadmill is great for learners and expert swimmers that are trying to hone in on their skill. The swim generator comes with

  • Steady stream of water that simulates swimming in a current. This feature is adjustable.
  • Accurately calculates length, time, and current strength you’re swimming at.
  • Easy to use and hands on for all users.

This is the perfect treadmill for people that want to take their swimming to the next level or even athletes that want to practice on their craft.

You can see by the few treadmills we’ve talked about today, treadmills have become very high tech. So, whether you workout on the treadmill to lose weight or cardio health you will enjoy the process much more.  Some treadmills may even add things like a desk, or different features but the most important thing is they work!
